It was seen that the process requires highly skilled craftsmen and long in-process time and is suitable only for small production batches. The longest production time is in the mould preparation stage which not only controls the as-cast quality but also influences the finishing operation time. For relatively large scale production, such as in the case of the Royal programme, and for the future well-being of this industry, a more efficient mould technique requiring less skilled labour is highly desirable.สาระสังเขป: The review has also served the useful purpose of recording a process which has been part of the Thai tradition for over 1,000 years and which has been handed down through generations in unwritten form.
