It is, therefore, recommended here that if the well beings of the company and of the economy are of concern in the long run risk minimization, in all possible ways should be studied and implemented.สาระสังเขป: It is necessary to mention here that necessary conditions for profit maximization, as far as raw material acquisition is concerned, can never be met by the company if the mill had been located at the proposed site, given the present situation of kenaf planted area and the expected transportation cost.สาระสังเขป: Rial transportation is very encouraging, howover, if the sideline construction which is taken as a prerequisite in this study had been constructed as plan. The maximum distance of raw material flow by rail, when the average price of raw material is applied, is 800.15 km. All major sources of supply are within this distance.สาระสังเขป: The study revealed that the proposed mill site at Saraburi is neithor appropriate nor practical for economic acquisition of the raw materials, as for as truck transportation is concerned. At the derived average price of the stalks (303.02 baht/tonne) the company cannot ship any raw material to the mill at all. If the maximum price (532.13 baht/tonne) is applied, then the company cannot even bid for the raw material in the local market. The minimum price of the stalks (177.38 baht/tonne), on the other hand provides the company with access to all major sources of supply and even beyond. At the given delivered price of 500 baht per tonne of air-dry kenaf, the transportation allowances which determine the distance of raw material flow are subject to prices of the stalks at the local market.
