Results indicate that ferro-cement with a cement: sand ratio by weight of 1:1.75, with a water:cement ratio of 0.35:1, and a commercial gel control and water reducing agent (Plastet no. 2, Cement Aids Ltd.) as an additive, possesses high strength and elasticity values suitable for an actual boat building trial. Authorsสาระสังเขป: An examination of reinforced cement mortar (ferro-cement) for application to boat building has been made following developments in other countries. A steel mat made with 6 mm diameter steel rods, sandwiched between 4 layers of woven wire mesh or welded square mesh, was used as reinforcement for the ferro-cement.
