It was found that 2 out of 82 family members withdrew from the dairy programme. Most members have estabilished 4-8 acres of paragrass pastures which are equivalent to .8-1.6 acrea/head. Since the start of this programme 17 head have died from diseases, after which 5 dairy cows were given for replacement. At present the total number of dairy cows in the programme are 410 head. Three hundred and forty-one calves were born up to the time of survey in which 145 are female. Feed deficiency tends to remain as one of the problems in the future because of insufficient improved pastures and the lack of proper pasture management. Rotation grazing practices in the established pastures and, in addition, establishment of guines grass pastures for cut and carry system have been recommended to alleviate this problem. Authorsสาระสังเขป: ผลการสำรวจซึ่งกระทำเมื่อ 19-30 พฤศจิกายน 2527 เพื่อประเมินผลการปฏิบัติงานส่งเสริมและพัฒนาอาชีพการเลี้ยงโคนมในเขตชุมชนปฏิรูปที่ดินคลองม่วง จังหวัดสระบุรี พบว่า มีสมาชิกขอถอนตัวจากโครงการ 2 ราย จากจำนวนสมาชิกเดิม 82 ราย. สมาชิกส่วนใหญ่มีแปลงหญ้าขน 10-20 ไร่ หรือ 2,1-4 ไร่ ต่อโคนม 1 ตัว. มีโคนมป่วยตายจนถึงสำรวจ 17 ตัว โดยสมาชิกรับโคนมทดแทน 5 ตัว, เหลือโคนมในโครงการทั้งสิ้น 410 ตัว. ผลการให้ลูก พบว่ามีลูกโคเกิดใหม่ 341 ตัว เป็นตัวเมีย 145 ตัว คิดเป็นร้อยละ 43. ปัญหาการขาดแคลนอาหารสัตว์มีแนวโน้มที่จะคงอยู่ในอนาคต เนื่องจากมีแปลงหญ้าน้อยและขาดแคลนการจัดการที่ถูกต้อง, ซึ่งได้วางแนวทางแก้ไขโดยแนะนำการเลี้ยงระบบหมุนเวียนและการจัดทำแปลงหญ้ากินนีเพื่อตัดให้สัตว์กิน. - ผู้แต่ง.
