The system was successfully implemented to many exporters such as banana exporters. Preliminary results obtained by using fresh banana as a model was proved to be well accepted by a number of exporters. The newly developed barcode traceability system showed some advantages by shortening the whole processing time due to the elimination of the unnecessary steps. It also provided the accurate and reliable data. Moreover, the system provided produce traceability which makes it possible to track produce from its point of origin to a retail location.สาระสังเขป: สถาบันวิจัยวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยีแห่งประเทศไทย (วว.) ได้พัฒนาระบบประกันคุณภาพสำหรับผลิตผลพืชสวน เพื่อเป็นการยกระดับคุณภาพมาตรฐานของผลิตผลไทย ให้สามารถแข่งขันในตลาดโลกได้ และเพื่อเสริมสร้างความเชื่อมั่นให้กับผู้บริโภค เช่น ได้มีการดำเนินการส่งเสริมให้ผู้ประกอบการส่งออกกล้วย, นำเอาระบบประกันคุณภาพที่ วว. พัฒนาขึ้นไปปรับใช้ในกระบวนการผลิตเพื่อการส่งออก ซึ่งพบว่าช่วยให้การดำเนินงานต่างๆ มีประสิทธิภาพมากยิ่งขึ้น. สำหรับระบบการตรวจสอบย้อนกลับสินค้าที่ได้ทำการพัฒนาขึ้นมาใหม่, จากผลการดำเนินงานเบื้องต้นโดยใช้กล้วยหอมเป็นพืชต้นแบบ, พบว่า ผู้ประกอบการส่งออกให้การตอบรับเป็นอย่างดี, เนื่องจากระบบดังกล่าวช่วยให้การดำเนินงานเป็นไปอย่างสะดวกรวดเร็ว, ลดขั้นตอนการทำงานให้น้อยลง, สามารถเก็บข้อมูลได้อย่างถูกต้องครบถ้วน, แม่นยำ และสามารถตรวจสอบแหล่งที่มาของผลิตผลได้ตั้งแต่ขั้นตอนการปลูก, การเก็บเกี่ยว, กระบวนการผลิต, ตลอดจนถึงขั้นตอนการจัดจำหน่ายได้.
