The project activities were started by setting up an organizational structure and designing job description of each position in the project, developing a three-year business plan, providing the information and advisory services and building up networks with service providers for food industry. The information services were mostly provided through the knowledge database for food industry and the project website. According to the monthly statistical report, the average daily visitors of the project's website and using the database were 35; 150 information services were given to food companies which requested the services through the project website, telephone, direct contact, and correspondence. As for advisory services, sixteen consultancy services were offered to SMEs in the food industry and 17 pilot projects/products were developed together with single SMEs in the food industry and joint-venture/match maker. The total project income generated from the above offered services was 8,198,910 baht. Eleven service providers in all six areas of expertise: production technology, quality assurance, marketing, management, environmental management and finance agreed upon and signed the MOU on networking. The outcomes of the project work are satisfactory at a certain level when comparing the indicators of what have been well succeeded with those as indicated in the business plan. - Authors.สาระสังเขป: โครงการมีวัตถุประสงค์หลักในการพัฒนาธุรกิจขนาดกลางและขนาดย่อมด้วยการให้บริการแบบเบ็ดเสร็จทั้นในด้านที่ปรึกษาและข้อมูลข่าวสารที่เป็นประโยชน์ต่อผู้ประกอบการอุตสาหกรรมอาหารเป้าหมาย 4 กลุ่ม ได้แก่ อุตสาหกรรมอาหารแช่เยือกแข็ง, อุตสาหกรรมนมและผลิตภัณฑ์, อุตสาหกรรมน้ำผลไม้ และอุตสาหกรรมอาหารพร้อมบริโภค, โดยในการดำเนินงานเริ่มตั้งแต่การจัดตั้งคณะทำงานโครงการและกำหนดหน้าที่ความรับผิดชอบในแต่ละตำแหน่งตามโครงสร้างการบริหารโครงการ, จัดทำแผนธุรกิจ 3 ปี, ดำเนินการให้บริการทั้งในด้านข้อมูลข่าวสารและบริการที่ปรึกษา รวมทั้งสร้างเครือข่ายความร่วมมือกับผู้ให้บริการในธุรกิจที่เกี่ยวข้องกับอุตสาหกรรมอาหาร. การให้บริการข้อมูลข่าวสารจะให้บริการผ่านเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศเป็นสำคัญ โดยอยู่ในรูปของฐานข้อมูลความรู้ที่เป็นประโยชน์ต่ออุตสาหกรรมอาหารและเว็บไซต์โครงการ จากการเก็บข้อมูลรายวันพบว่าผู้เข้าเยี่ยมชมเว็บไซต์โครงการจำนวน 35 คนต่อวัน, และมีจำนวนผู้ขอรับบริการข้อมูลข่าวสารบริการผ่านเว็บไซต์โครงการ โทรศัพท์ ติดต่อโดยตรงและทางจดหมายจำนวนทั้งสิ้น 150 ราย ในด้านการให้บริการที่ปรึกษา ได้มีการให้บริการทั้งสิ้น 16 ราย และมีโครงการนำร่องกับภาคเอกชนและหน่วยงานอื่นๆ จำนวน 17 โครงการ ตลอดการดำเนินงานโครงการสามารถทำรายได้จากการให้บริการในทุกรูปแบบดังที่กล่าวมาเป็นจำนวนเงิน 8,198,910 บาท สำหรับการสร้างเครือข่ายความร่วมมือได้มีผู้ให้บริการในธุรกิจที่เกี่ยวข้องกับอุตสาหกรรมอาหารจำนวน 11 รายการจากทั้งหมด 6 สาขา ได้แก่ เทคโนโลยีการผลิต, การประกันคุณภาพ, การตลาด, การบริหาร, บริหารสภาพแวดล้อม และการเงิน เมื่อเปรียบเทียบกับแผนธุรกิจ 3 ปี พบว่าผลการดำเนินงานเป็นไปตามแผนที่ได้วางไว้ ตลอดจนมีรายได้เกินกว่าที่ได้ระบุไว้ในแผน นับได้ว่าการดำเนินงานประสบความสำเร็จเป็นอย่างดี - ผู้แต่ง
