Most of the raw materials were Thyrsostachys siamensis produced in two types, ununiform long chips and uniform sharpened tubes. Chemical compositions analysis of these two types of raw material were not different, having average contents of alpha-cellulose and lignin of 40.5% and 24.12% respectively as other tropical hardwoods. Amount of active alkali for cooking the bamboo waste sample was 15%. Bleached pulp yield were 40% on dry basis.
