The results showed that the spacing of 1x2 meters (plant x row) yielded highest fresh weight of the leaves from the first year to the third years from 189.79+7.41, 627.85+24.71 and 1,229.64+48.32 kg/plant. The concentration of nitrate of all ranges of spacing was not significantly different. Harvesting period of leaves at 30, 45 and 60 days of fresh weight and dry weight showed that 60 days were highest at 470.76+46.91 g and 149.07+12.91 g, respectively. The concentrations of nitrate at 30, 45 and 60 days were not significantly different. The results of all three fertilizer applications which were no fertilizer (control), using compost and chemical fertilizers showed no significant difference on fresh weight and dry weight of leaves at 30 and 60 days. It is likely that the chemical fertilizer gave highest yield of fresh weight of the leaves at 30 and 60 days, 375.50+139.01 and 559.45+139.01 g/L, respectively.
