At present, to reduce the packaging waste management load created from the consumption of these products, several developed countries initiated some legal measures to the producers of products to be sold in their countries, for example, collecting fee for managing the packaging waste and list of banned packaging material that tend to cause the adverse effect to the environment. The market of biodegradable packaging is, however, still in the beginning stage and has limited to some group of products. This dued to its inferior properties compare to those conventional plastic packaging. In addition, the patent of process technology for biodegradable raw material is hold in few companies and thus limits the availability of raw material to convert to packaging. This biodegradable packaging development project presents five sketch structural models of packaging and one modified of the sketch.
