The preliminary results of the study have proved that a Thai ore is suitable for the manufacture of dry batteries. The investigation has also indicated that the performance of dry cells is susceptible to variation in the manganese dioxide to carbon ration and the optimum ratio should be used in assessing the depolarizing quality of a manganese ore.
