Production of stearic and oleic acids was accomplished by using alkali saponification method then followed by acidification, distillation and crystallization in 95 percent EtOH at the ratio of 5:1, and temperature of -10 degree celsius for 3 hr. Slowly decreasing of temperature at the rate of 0.2 degree celsius/min was found to yield stearic and oleic acids at the amount of 12.5 percent and 15.2 percent with 1.20-2.16 and 99.27-99.87 iodine value respectively. These values compiled with the products sold in the market.
