The Ginger tablet and the Ginger protincture tablet were prepared by Pharmaceuticals and Natural Products Department (PNPD), Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research (TISTR). Both preparations were administered orally at the dose of 5,000 mg/kg body weight. It was found that no toxic signs and no mortalities occurred within the observation period of 14 days. The abnormalities observed on necropsy at the termination were not related to the toxic effects of both preparations when compared with the normal rats Authors
