Many newly-named cultivars which have been created from the selected plants are usually confused. Therefore, correct identification of jackfruit cultivars would be beneficially applied for certification in the future. Based on the Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA (RAPA) technique, identification of jackfruit cultivars derives 142 accessions which have been conserved by Department of Agriculture, Ministry of Agriculture and Co-operatives. The sampling of 60 primers were screened of which 36 responded to the jackfruit DNA. The selected 9 primers which gave clear amplified products and polymorphic bands were used to calculate the Unweighted Pari-Group Method with Arithmetic Average (UPGMA) and compared among their relations of DNA patterns by coefficient of Nei and Li (1979). The results showed no significant difference among 142 samples by using just a single primer but when gathering all the results of 9 primers, they could be identified to 5 main groups and 3 minor groups. In addition, 3 Paisanthaksin cultivars could be grouped.สาระสังเขป: Throughout the results of this investigation. DNA patterns of each accession from all 9 primers were recorded in the database for standardized cultivars of jackfruit. - Authors.สาระสังเขป: ขนุนเป็นไม้ผลชนิดหนึ่งที่มีคนไทยนิยมบริโภค มีการปลูกเพื่อบริโภคในครัวเรือน จนถึงเพื่อการค้า. จากการคัดเลือกต้นที่มีลักษณะดีที่ต่างจากเดิม ทำให้เกิดขนุนสายพันธุ์ใหม่ ๆ จำนวนมาก ซึ่งเมื่อนำไปปลูกต่างแหล่งกันบางครั้งอาจทำให้เกิดความสับสนในชื่อพันธุ์ได้. ดังนั้นเพื่อความถูกต้องของสายพันธุ์และสามารถใช้เป็นเกณฑ์ในการรับรองสายพันธุ์ในอนาคต. จึงทำการวิจัยจำแนกพันธุ์ขนุนต่าง ๆ จำนวนทั้งสิ้น 142 ตัวอย่าง ซึ่งรวบรวมโดยกรมวิชาการเกษตร กระทรวงเกษตรและสหกรณ์ ด้วยเทคนิค Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA (RAPD). จากการตรวจสอบด้วยไพรเมอร์จำนวน 60 ชนิด พบว่ามีไพรเมอร์ที่สามารถเพิ่มปริมาณดีเอ็นเอได้จำนวน 36 ชนิด. และจากการเลือกไพรเมอร์จำนวน 9 ชนิดที่สามารถเพิ่มปริมาณดีเอ็นเอและให้แถบดีเอ็นเอที่ชัดเจน แล้วนำผลที่ได้มาคำนวณแบบ Unweighted Pair-Group Method with Arithmetic Average (UPGMA) และเปรียบเทียบค่าความสัมพันธ์ของแถบดีเอ็นเอโดยใช้ค่าสัมประสิทธิ์ของ Nei and Li (1979) พบว่าไม่สามารถจำแนกสายพันธุ์ขนุนออกจากกันได้ด้วยไพรเมอร์เพียงชนิดใดชนิดหนึ่ง, แต่หากใช้ผลรวมที่ได้จากไพรเมอร์ทั้ง 9 ชนิด มาวิเคราะห์พบว่าสามารถทำการจำแนกขนุนสายพันธุ์ต่าง ๆ ออกจากกันได้อย่างชัดเจน. เมื่อพิจารณาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างสายพันธุ์ต่าง ๆ ทำให้สามารถแบ่งสายพันธุ์ขนุนออกเป็น 5 กลุ่มใหญ่ ๆ และอีก 3 กลุ่มย่อย. นอกจากนั้นยังสามารถแบ่งขนุนสายพันธุ์ไพศาลทักษิณออกได้เป็น 3 กลุ่ม.สาระสังเขป: ทั้งนี้ได้ทำการเก็บลักษณะลายพิมพ์ดีเอ็นเอที่ได้จากการใช้ไพรเมอร์ทั้ง 9 ชนิดไว้ในระบบฐานข้อมูล เพื่อใช้เป็นมาตรฐานในการเปรียบเทียบและอ้างอิงสายพันธุ์ขนุนแต่ละพันธ์ต่อไป. - ผู้แต่ง
