It was found that parameters that control furnace performance (heating rate, energy consumption and temperature uniformity) was not only design model but also material usage type including insulation module, door construction etc. The performance of a developed furnace was comparable well with a commercial one. The design was simple, of low cost and well matched to the Pb vapour trap unit. Maximum temperature inside the furnace and heating rate could be reached at 1600 °C and 20 °C/ min, respectively with 20x20x20 cm of working dimension. The furnace could produce 6 kVA of power output, single phase, and 220 V of working voltage.สาระสังเขป: การวิจัยนี้เป็นการศึกษา สร้างและพัฒนาเตาเผาอุณหภูมิสูง การคำนวณและออกแบบเตาเผาอุณหภูมิที่มีปัจจัยที่ต้องการหลักๆ ของเตาเผา คือ ค่าอุณหภูมิสูงสุด, การไต่ระดับของอุณหภูมิจนถึงระดับอุณหภูมิที่ต้องการ, การคงค่าอุณหภูมิที่ต้องการ และพลังงานที่ต้องการใช้ ซึ่งการออกแบบและเลือกใช้อุปกรณ์ต่างๆ จะต้องสอดคล้องกับปัจจัยเหล่านี้และชุดดักจับไอตะกั่ว เนื่องจากการใช้เตาเผาสารชิ้นงานบางชนิด มักจะเกิดปัญหาจากไอสารของสารตะกั่ว ก่อให้เกิดอันตรายต่อเตาเผาทำให้ประสิทธิภาพลดลงหรือเตาเผาเสียหายได้และยิ่งถ้าไอของสารตะกั่วหลุดกระจายออกมานอกเตาเผาแล้ว ยิ่งก่อให้เกิดอันตรายต่อสภาวะแวดล้อม จากการศึกษาพบว่า เตาเผาที่พัฒนาสามารถใช้งานได้ที่อุณหภูมิ 1,600 องศาเซลเซียส, ที่อัตราการเพิ่มอุณหภูมิ 20 องศาเซลเซียสต่อนาที, ภายในเตามีขนาด 20x20x20 เซนติเมตร3 กำลังไฟฟ้า 6 กิโลโวลต์ 1 เฟส 220 โวลต์.
