Through field surveys, 85 species from northern, north-eastern, central, wastern, and southern Thailand were collected and identified, out of which eight species are recommended for consideration. Of these Axonopus compressus, Brachiaria reptans, Chrysopogon aciculatus, and Cynodon dactylon appear to be more favourable for ground cover around base perimeters. Soil and rainfall requirements, competition among species, and means of propagation are discussed in this report.
