The antifungal lemon grass oil cream was prepared by Pharmaceuticals and Natural Products Department (PNPD), Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research (TISTR). The cream was administered orally and dermally at the dose of 2,000 mg/kg body weight. There were no toxic signs and no mortalities occurred within the observation period of 14 days. The abnormalities observed on necropsy at the termination were not related to the toxic effects of the preparation when compared with the normal rats.
