The advantage of this machine is that it can perform two types of impact testing namely Charpy and Izod methods by using safety and control lever systems in order to obtain the impact energy at 30 kg-m and 17 kg-m respectively. The machine has already been installed and used for the purpose of quality control for casting products at Niti Casting Foundry which has signed contract with TISTR.สาระสังเขป: ห้องปฏิบัติการวิศวกรรมโลหะและเซรามิค ได้ออกแบบและสร้างเครื่องทดสอบแรงกระแทกเหล็กและเหล็กกล้า สอดคล้องกับวิธีที่กำหนดในมาตรฐานสากล (ISO). เครื่องนี้มีข้อดีที่สามารถทดสอบแรงกระแทกได้ 2 วิธี คือ แบบซาร์บี (Charpy) และ อิซอด (Izod) ในเครื่องเดียวกัน, โดยสามารถปรับตัวกำหนดพลังงานในการกระแทกของหัวค้อนได้ 2 ระดับ คือ 30 กิโลกรัม-เมตร กับ 17 กิโลกรัม-เมตร ตามข้อกำหนดของการทดสอบทั้ง 2 แบบ ตามลำดับ. เครื่องทดสอบนี้ได้นำไปติดตั้งที่ บริษัท นิติดาสติงค์ ตามสัญญาการว่าจ้างในการออกแบบ และสร้างเครื่องทดสอบเสร็จเรียบร้อยแล้ว.
