The evaluation of slime control reagents indicated that Microcide 1900 and Bimix RF J016 in concentration of 0.005% and 0.04% respectively are the best ones among 14 tested reagents in the views of antimicrobial activity and non-toxic to be used in paper mill.สาระสังเขป: จากการวิเคราะห์หาเชื้อจุลินทรีย์ที่เป็นสาเหตุทำให้เกิดเมือกในขบวนการผลิตกระดาษ พบเชื้อจุลินทรีย์ดังนี้ : เชื้อบักเตรี 8 ชนิด อยู่ในสกุล Pseudomonas, Alcaligenes, Aeromonas, Klebsiella, Bacillus; เชื้อรา 14 ชนิด อยู่ในสกุล Aspergillus, Penicillium, Paecilomyces, Monilia, Zygodesmus, Acrostalagmus; และเชื้อยีสต์ 4 ชนิด อยู่ในสกุล Cryptococcus, Rhodotorula. เมื่อทดลองใช้สารเคมีต่าง ๆ 14 ชนิด เพื่อจะยับยั้งการเจริญเติบโตของเชื้อจุลินทรีย์เหล่านั้น พบว่า Microcide 1900 และ Bimix RF JO16 ในปริมาณความเข้มข้น 0.005 และ 0.04% ตามลำดับ. มีประสิทธิภาพดีที่สุดและปลอดภัยที่สุดที่จะใช้ในโรงงานกระดาษ.
