Rendle.) from three areas (Nakon Nayok, Prachin Buri and Sa Kaeo province) showed yield 10.96, 12.31 and 12.62% (w/w) of dry weight, respectively. The citronella oil from hydro-distillation method of these three area showed yield 0.52, 0.57 and 0.57% (v/w) of wet weight, respectively. The ethanolic extract was partitioned into hexane, dichloromethane, ethyl acetate and water fractions. Among of these fractions, the hexane fraction at 5% (w/v) solution showed the most allelopathic activity of anti-sprouting of potato tubers at 39.73% inhibition. The citronella oil showed this activity at 42.60% inhibition. Using HPLC method, the citronellol as standardized substance showed retention time (Rt) at 16.08 min. The standard calibration curve showed equation of Y = 13,393.8 X + 5,797.0 (r2 = 0.9999). The concentration of citronellol in citronella oil was 8.18% (w/w).สาระสังเขป: สารสกัดหยาบของตะไคร้หอม (Cymbopogon nardus (L.) Rendle.) จาก 3 แหล่ง ได้แก่ จังหวัดนครนายก จังหวัดปราจีนบุรี และจังหวัดสระแก้ว ที่สกัดด้วยเอทานอลความเข้มข้นร้อยละ 95 (ปริมาตรต่อปริมาตร) มีค่าร้อยละของผลผลิตของสารสกัดต่อน้ำหนักแห้งเท่ากับ 10.96, 12.31 และ 12.62 ตามลำดับ น้ำมันตะไคร้หอมที่กลั่นโดยวิธีการกลั่นด้วยน้ำ (hydro-distillation) มีค่าร้อยละของผลผลิตของน้ำมันหอมระเหย จากจังหวัดนครนายก จังหวัดปราจีนบุรี และจังหวัดสระแก้ว เท่ากับร้อยละ 0.52, 0.57 และ 0.57 ต่อน้ำหนักสด ตามลำดับ นำเอาสารสกัดตะไคร้หอมชั้นเอทานอลมาทำการสกัดด้วยตัวทำละลายเฮกเซน ไดคลอโรมีเทน เอทิลแอซีเทต และน้ำ โดยวิธีการ Partition พบว่า สารละลายร้อยละ 5 (น้ำหนักต่อปริมาตร) ของสารสกัดเฮกเซน มีค่าร้อยละของการยับยั้งการงอกของมันฝรั่ง เท่ากับ 39.73 และค่าร้อยละของการยับยั้งการงอกของน้ำมันตะไคร้หอมเท่ากับร้อยละ 42.60 เมื่อใช้เทคนิคทางโครมาโทกราฟี HPLC พบว่า สาร citronellol มี Rt เท่ากับ 16.08 นาที กราฟ standard calibration curve ของสาร citronellol มีสมการเท่ากับ Y = 13,393.8 X + 5,797.0 (r2 = 0.9999) และน้ำมันตะไคร้หอมมีปริมาณของ citronellol อยู่เท่ากับร้อยละ 8.18 โดยน้ำหนัก.
