Furthermore, many facilities do not support direct requirements of the users. For example, the user may require facilities that can aid physical movement for exercising in several manners and may also help physical therapy for knee or ankle ligament. The multipurpose wheelchair is designed to help facilitate elder or disable people in terms of self-service. The design adds more capabilities to be function of lifting the user up to or down from the bed. The user can easily operate by using a joystick to control the kinetic directions: front, rear, left, or right; or adjust the manners: sit, stand up, or lie down. The multipurpose wheelchair is developed to respond the requirement of the user. The user can operate alone to spend daily life or do not need anybody to take care of. The benefit results in adding the value of life and improving the quality of life สาระสังเขป: ในปัจจุบันยังมีคนชราและผู้พิการจำนวนมากที่ยังขาดโอกาสที่จะเข้าถึงอุปกรณ์และเครื่องอำนวยความสะดวกในการใช้ชีวิตประจำวัน สาเหตุจากเครื่องมือที่สามารถตอบสนองความต้องการของคนชราและผู้พิการ อาทิ เช่น การบริหารส่วนต่างๆ ของร่างกาย การทำกายภาพบำบัดสำหรับแก้ปัญหาเรื่องเอ็นยึดติดบริเวณหัวเข่าและข้อเท้า การลุกยืนเพื่อให้กระดูกส่วนต่างๆ ได้รับน้ำหนักแทนการนอนอยู่กับที่ ตลอดจนการเคลื่อนที่ไปมา. การออกแบบรถนั่งเคลื่อนที่อเนกประสงค์ ได้ออกแบบเพื่อเน้นอำนวยความสะดวกให้กับคนชราและผู้พิการมีโอกาสช่วยเหลือตัวเองได้มากขึ้น เช่น การเพิ่มระบบการยกตัวเองจากรถนั่งเคลื่อนที่อเนกประสงค์ขึ้นบนเตียงนอน และจากเตียงนอนมานั่งที่รถนั่งอเนกประสงค์พร้อมการบังคับควบคุมการเคลื่อนที่ก็สะดวก เพียงบังคับคันโยก เลี้ยวซ้าย-ขวา เดินหน้า-ถอยหลัง หรือปรับนอนราบ นั่ง ยืนก็สะดวกสบาย. การพัฒนารถนั่งเคลื่อนที่อเนกประสงค์ขึ้น เพื่อตอบสนองความต้องการดังกล่าว เป็นการลดภาระให้กับผู้ดูแล เพราะคนชรา ผู้พิการ และผู้ป่วยสามารถใช้อุปกรณ์ในการช่วยเหลือตัวเองได้มากขึ้น เป็นการพัฒนาคุณภาพชีวิตให้ได้มีโอกาสดูแลตัวเองมากขึ้น.
