Curcuma xanthorrhiza and Eleutherine americana were selected for this study. It was found that the appropriate spacing for kale planting was 75x75 cm because it provided the highest yields and the highest total weight per rai in 1 year period. The application of green manures from Vigna unguiculata that were used before planting showed the highest yield of both herbs (Curcuma xanthorrhiza and Eleutherine americana) which was similar to the use of chemical fertilizers (15-15-15). The use of root extracts which was extracted from organic compounds have more positive effect on the growth of Curcuma xanthorrhiza root than the commercial root accelerator. The root germination rate was twice faster than those use of commercial root accelerator. As for Eleutherine Americana, the use of both root extracts had no effect on germination rate. As for Riceberry and Yanang, it was found that the water supply at Riceberry paddy every seven days was more likely to provide higher yield than that recommended by the Department of Agriculture. The use of compost (four tons per rai of paddy and chemical fertilizer at the rate of 17.50 kg per rai) showed no different from the chemical fertilizer recommended by the Department of Agriculture. It is likely to be used as a substitute.
