A 16-liter bench scale UASB reactor was designed and constructed as the experimental apparatus. The wastewater from fruit canning factory was used in the experiment. It was gradually fed into the UASB reactor from small amount unit to achieve the optimum loading. The experiment will continue unit the end of second year. Data will be collected, analysed and presented in the final report. - Authors.สาระสังเขป: โครงการนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อสร้างตะกอนจุลินทรีย์ลักษณะเม็ดในระบบบำบัดน้ำเสียแบบไร้อากาศชนิด UASB โดยได้ทำการออกแบบ และก่อสร้างระบบ UASB ระดับห้องปฏิบัติการโดยถังปฏิกรณ์มีขนาด 16 ลิตร. ในการทดลองได้ใช้น้ำเสียจากโรงงานผลิตน้ำผลไม้กระป๋องป้อนเข้าระบบจากน้อยไปหามาก เพื่อหาอัตราภาระการรับซีโอดีที่เหมาะสม. จากนั้นจึงเดินระบบที่อัตรานี้เพื่อดูการเพิ่มของเม็ดตะกอนจุลินทรีย์. การทดลองจำดำเนินการต่อจนถึงสิ้นปีที่ 2 ผลการทดลองจะนำเสนอในรายงานฉบับสุดท้าย.
