The process for producing the modifided oil is the copolymerization using rubber-seed oil and dicyclopentadiene (DCPD), the percentages by weight of DCPD to the oil were 20-45. The mixture were reacted in closed system at a temperature range of 270 to 280 degree celsius the reaction time was 6 to 24 hours in an Electro-Vapor Plant which was donated by the Denver Research Institute, to produce pressuro randing from 50 to 70 psig. The medified oil products, according to the tests conducted by the Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research (TISTR) and some commercial paint companies are suitable for interior paint decoration. The production cost and paint formula guidelines are shown in this report.
