The test is aiming to investigate how much the performances of such a boiler deteriorated from the designed performances after a yearlong continuous operation. The 28-hours continuous test comprised of fuel sampling for analysis, monitoring and recording performances of equipment and accessories, calculation of system's thermal efficiency and heat balance. Emitted pollutants, especially SO2 and Dioxins/Furans were also investigated. It is found that the system's thermal efficiency reduced from the designed figure of 88% to 77% and most pollutants do not exceed the industrial standard except SO2 and Dioxins/Furans.
