At present, 42 sugar mills are in operation in various parts of Thailand. These sugar mills use their bagasses mainly as fuel for boiler, however some sugar mills have plenty of bagasses left every year. Bagasse can be used as raw material in other industries such as : pulp and paper industry, animal feed industry, particle board industry etc.สาระสังเขป: Through an agreement with the Siam Kraft Paper Mill Co., Ltd., the present study has been undertaken to determine the utilization of bagasse in various industries in Thailand. The subject also deals with the demand and supply of bagasse, value added and the trend of demand in each industry. The result of the study will be used as guideline for the company to manage and make some decision on purchasing bagasses. - Authors.
