Representatives of the selected AHGs in Chanthaburi, Trat and Rayong Provinces were chosen to be trained in a one-day training programme organized by TISTR in which the training date was set by the Provincial Agriculture Extension's staffs. TISTR conducted four training courses on the production of rambutan, twice for AHGs from Chanthaburi Province, and once each for AHGs from Trat and Rayong Provinces. The participants from Chanthaburi Province were 64 while from Trat and Rayong Provinces were 32 and 37 respectively. In addition, TISTR was requested to give the same training to rambutan growers in Trat and Ranong Provinces. Total attendants from six training courses were 205 persons and only 195 persons who daily attended the course received TISTR's certificates. All 205 participants received handbooks on the dehydrated rambutan and longan and TISTR provided additional 170 handbooks and 34 VDO tapes on the dehydrated rambutan and longan to selected AHGs for further training. Furthermore, TISTR found that two rambutan growers from Chanthaburi and Trat Provinces and AHGs who attended the training in 1999 have been producing dehydrated rambutan for sale. AuthorsReview: ในปี 2543 นี้ วท. ได้รับงบประมาณแผนดินภายใต้โครงการการถ่ายทอดเทคโนโลยีด้านการเกษตร : การแปรรูปอาหาร. งานหนึ่งในโครงการนี้ คือ การผลิตเงาะแห้ง โดยเน้นการถ่ายทอด เทคโนโลยีสู่เกษตรกรผู้ปลูกเงาะ ตามแผนที่ได้กำหนดไว้. วท. ได้ร่วมมือกับหนัวหน้ากลุ่มงานเทคโนโลยีเกษตร, กรมส่งเสริมการเกษตร คัดเลือกผู้แทนกลุ่มแม่บ้านเกษตรกรจากจังหวัดจันทบุรี, ระยองและตราด โดยได้จัดการฝึกอบรมให้กับผู้แทนกลุ่มแม่บ้านเกษตรกรจากจังหวัดจันทบุรี จำนวน 2 รุ่น รวม 64 คน, จากจังหวัดตราด 1 รุ่น หรือ 32 คน และจากจังหวัดระยอง 1 รุ่น หรือ 37 คน โดยให้โอกาสกับกลุ่มแม่บ้านเกษตรกรที่มีตู้อบร้อนก่อน. นอกจากนี้ วท. ได้รับการร้องขอให้จัดการฝึกอบรมการผลิตเงาะแห้งให้กับกลุ่มสตรีบ้านเทพนิมิต จังหวัดตราด ซึ่งอยู่ภายใต้การดูแลของกรมพัฒนาชุมชน, กระทรวงมหาดไทย. มีผู้เข้าฝึกอบรมจำนวน 33 คน และ วท. ได้รับคำขอจากพาณิชย์จังหวัดระนอง ให้จัดการฝึกอบรมการผลิตเงาะแห้งให้กับเกษตรกรในจังหวัดระนอง โดยมีผู้เข้ารับการฝึกอบรม 39 คนอีกด้วย. การฝึกอบรมทั้ง 5 ครั้งนี้ มีผู้ได้รับประกาศนียบัตรจาก วท. 195 คน จากผู้เข้ารับการฝึกอบรมรวม 205 คน. อนึ่ง วท. ได้เตรียมหนังสือคู่มือการผลิตเงาะแห้งและลำไยแห้ง ให้กับผู้เข้ารับการฝึกอบรมรวม 205 เล่ม, อีกทั้งได้จัดเตรียมหนังสือคู่มือเพิ่มเติมเพื่อแจกให้กับสมาชิกกลุ่มแม่บ้านเกษตรกรที่ไม่ได้เข้ากับการฝึกอบรมและเจ้าหน้าที่เคหกิจเกษตรที่ดูแลกลุ่มแม่บ้านเพื่อนำไปใช้สอนและเผยแพร่ต่อไป รวม 170 เล่ม และวีดิทัศน์เรื่องการผลิตเงาะแห้งและลำไยแห้ง จำนวน 34 ม้วน. นอกจากนี้ วท. พบว่าเกษตรกรผู้ปลูกเงาะที่ได้รับการอบรมเมื่อปี 2541 และ 2542 ได้นำความรู้ที่ได้ไปทำการผลิตเงาะแห้งเพื่อขาย 2 ราย ซึ่งเป็นเกษตรกรจากจังหวัดจันทบุรี 1 ราย และจังหวัดตราด 1 ราย. -ผู้แต่ง.
