For the raw wastewater, influent of treatment ponds showed that the LC at 48 hours was 22 ml/1 and resulted in dead fishes from its toxicity at 50 percent dilution after 48 hours of the test period. The final discharge had the same LC at 24 and 48 hours of 50 ml/1. In comparison, the LC values at 48 hours of thest three sets of the tests indicate that the untreated pulp-mill wastewater had the most severe toxicity effect to fishes.
