Two different lengths of fractionating column packed with stainless steel wire mesh rings have been used. The distillation under various reduced pressure was carried out in the laboratory. The value of fraction was determined by GLC. The optimum condition for the isolation of geraniol with rose-like odour was 100 degree celsius, 8.0 mmHg by distilling in 25 inch-long column. - Authors.
