The survey covers information related to production, availability, and cost of plant protein sources in Thailand for the years 1964 and 1965. Data are presented concerning the general composition, the vitamin composition, and the essential amino acid content of selected protein sources. Additional tables give the approximate composition of coconut oil meal; the amino acid content of sesame, soybean, and cottonseed meal; the nutritional aspect of sesame meal; cottonseed flour characteristics; and the limiting essential amino acid in some foods and feeds. The protein sources recommended for investigation as foods are soybean, peanut, sesame, and mung bean. Rice bran meal and cottonseed meal are worth investigating as animal feed protein sources. S.K
