It has been found that planting with the use of trellises produced significantly higher seed yield in both species, averaging 27.50 and 10.34 kg/rai/year as against the corresponding 15.26 and 7.75 for growing without the application of trellises. The effect of trellises on centro seed yield however was less significant in the second year, when the yield increased substantially. Furthermore, the variation in spacing from 10 to 30 cm did not have any effect on the yield of both species.
