The sensitization test on normal skin by closed patch test was carried out in 50 healthy persons (20 males, 30 females) and the results read after 48 hours were all negative. Therefore this drug does not cause sensitization and irritation.สาระสังเขป: 2. ทาครีมบริเวณที่ถูกแมงกะพรุนโดยแบ่ง 20 พวก คือ :สาระสังเขป: 2. Experiments on the patients with jelly-fish poisoning:สาระสังเขป: 3. Eight patients with wounds from the insect Paederus were treated and the wounds disappeared within five days after treatement.สาระสังเขป: a. With the jelly-fish contact the same day the patient visited the doctor, the symptoms were hyperemia and pruritus which disappeared within two days after treatment with the cream.สาระสังเขป: b. With the jelly-fish contact between 3-30 days before the patients visited the doctor, seven patients had hyperemia, burns or wounds. Fifty per cent of the wounds disappeared within one week after treatment and full recovery was obtained within 1-1 1/2 month. There was almost no keloid.สาระสังเขป: In conclusion, 1 per cent Ipomoea pes-caprae cream gave satisfactory results in every stage of jelly-fish poisoning and biting from Paederus insect with full recovery of the wounds and no keloid formation. Authors.สาระสังเขป: Phakbungtha-le (Ipomoea pes-caprae) grows along the seashore.
