The moisture content in citronella has some influence on the amount of essential oil and steam utilized, while the quality of the oil is determined by the distilling time. The experiment in which all locallymade equipments were used, was conducted on a semi-pilot plant scale. This report showed the relationship between the yield of essential oil and various parameters, including the price of fuel consumed.
