The process for producing the modifided oil is the copolymerization using rubber-seed oil and dicyclopentadiene (DCPD), the percentages by weight of DCPD to the oil were between 20 and 45. The mixture were reacted in closed system at a temperature range of 270-280 degree celsius in an Electro-Vapor Plant which was donated by the Denver Research Institute, U.S.A., to produce operating pressure up to 50-70 psig, the reaction time was 6-24 hours. The modified oil products, which according to a series of tests conducted by the TISTR laboratories and some commercial paint compaines, are suitable for interior paint decoration.
