The process for producing the modified oil is the copolymerization using rubber-seed oil and dicyclopentadiene (DCPD), the percentages by weight of DCPD to the oil in the 3 demonstrations were 35, 4a and 45. The mixture were reacted in closed system at a temperature range of 270 degree celsius in an Electro-Vapor Plant which was contributed by the Denver Research Institute, to produce pressure ranging from 50 to 55 psig. The modiffied oil products, according to the tests conducted by the TISTR and some commercial paint companiers, are suitable for interior paint decoration. The production cost and paint formula guidelines are shown in this report. - authors.
