The work was planned as a part of the study on the suitability of different sands for the preparation of standard cement testing sand.สาระสังเขป: The analysis of 24 sand samples indicate that the sands of the Phatthaya and Rayong series appear to be the most promising materials for the preparation of standard sand required for cement testing in accordance with the Rilem-Cembureau method.สาระสังเขป: The report also includes recommendations for further studies. A cooperative project organized with other scientific and industrial organizations concerned with cement manufacture and use should be carried out in order to compare different cement strength testing methods, as well as to correlate the strength of cement mortar made with mono-and multifractional sands, and concrete strength.
