Responses to soil fertility, fertilizer application, and plant population were examined. Yasothon, Khorat, and Nam Phong soil series gave the same yield of Thai kenaf (Hibiscus sabdariffa var. altissima) variety Non Sung 001. Kenaf plants responded remarkably well to fertilizer application. Low plant population increased the height and diameter of the plant, but the yields of fresh stalks and fibre weight were less than in the case where population was high and there were higher number of shorter and smaller stalks.
