Only 4 plants have been operated to separate gum as a byproduct. The gums were collected and their properties were analyzed. Research on production of natural lecithin on laboratory scale was carried out by drying with double rollers dryer under reduced pressure at 27-28 inch of Hg and temperature of 60-65 degree celsius. The resulting product yielded 30-38 percent. The properties were similar to that of the standard of fluidity natural lecithin.
