The cooking yield was 55 per cent and bleached yield 46 per cent on raw material. Pulping was doen with 16.0 per cent sodium sulphite and 2.5 per cent sodium bicarbonate on raw material for 2-hour cooking at 170 degree celsius with liqour ratio at 3:1. The crude pulp was refined and bleached to 86 per cent brightness with 7 per cent chlorine in C/E/H bleaching sequence. The bleached yield attained 87 per cent on unbleached pulp. The bleached pulp tested at 430 ml S-R freeness has good quality woth tear factor 85, breaking length 7,334 m, and burst factor 39. Authors
