The pulp was bleached to 88 per cent brightness with 8 per cent chlorine in DC/E/D sequence. The pulp has better strength.สาระสังเขป: Polysulphide pulping at 175 degree celsius for 1/2 hour with active alkali 20.2 per cent total Na O, 39 per cent sulphidity, and 1.5 per cent sulphur, with subsequent MnO oxidation gave 46 per cent yield. Bleaching with 9 per cent chlorine gave 88 per cent brightness with the best strength featuring tearing factor 151, burst factor 58, breaking length 7,282 m, and folding endurance 384. Authorsสาระสังเขป: Pulping hardwood, Casuarina equisetifolia, was investigated with three processes. The magnefite process with 18 per cent SO at 150 degree celsius for 4 hours gave 52 per cent yield. The pulp was bleached to 94 per cent brightness with 9 per cent chlorine in CD/E/D-H sequence. The bleached pulp has good quality featuring tearing factor of 105.
