Comparison of growth in different substrates of spawn making showed that the mixture of Ko wood sawdust gave the best mycelium growth. Various Ko woods were analyzed for their compositions. Most of Ko logs inoculated in 1970 and early 1971 were found not able to produce mushroom due to weed damage caused by fungi. Yield of mushroom per log was collected by the sampling method to find out the total annual production.สาระสังเขป: The problem of mite in the spawn growing room was satisfactorily solved by kerosene spraying. Trial on button mushroom spawn making showed that wheat grain or gorghum grain added with 1 per cent by weight of gypsum and 0.5 per cent by weight of calcium carbonate exhibited faster growth of mycelium than the rice straw compost. Four samples of compost made at Ban Yang and Mae Chan were analyzed. Extraordinary low temperatures during the last winter caused considerably low production of button mushroom. Authors
