The oil had very small amount of free fatty acid ranging from 0.8 to 1.4 per cent. Miscella refining of the oil with equal part of hexane was carried out with caustic soda at 60 degree celsius for 20 minutes. The refining loss was 2.9 per cent for 1.3 per cent free fatty acid. The soap stock with firm texture was 2.2 per cent of the oil.สาระสังเขป: The neutral oil was treated with 5 per cent citric acid at 150 degree celsius for 30 minutes at 1 mm Hg. This treatment effected inactivation of malvalic acid in the oil from 1.51 per cent in the crude oil to 0.59 per cent in the refined oil.สาระสังเขป: The seed meal from the solvent extraction was sieved to remove hull particles.
