The kernel contains 54-60 per cent of fat. The physical and chemical properties of the fat were determined. Its chemical composition was identified and quantitatively estimated by gas liquid chromatography. The major fatty acid composition of the fat is approximately as follows: capric acid, 1.6-2 per cent, lauric acid, 40-49 per cent, myristic acid, 36-46 per cent, palmitic acid, 2.1-2.7 per cent, and oleic acid, 1.9-2.9 per cent. The de-fatted meal left after solvent extraction of krabok kernels contains protein 37.1 per cent and carbohydrate 52.4 per cent. Authors
