It is expected that the demand for tapioca products from foreign markets would be 8.96 million tons in 1981.สาระสังเขป: The Thai Marinere Co. Ltd. have requested ASRCT to prepare a preinvestment study for building catamaran ferrocement boat to be used as lighter for the transport of tapioca products from Bangpakong Port to Srichang Harbour.สาระสังเขป: There are 5 warehouses where products are stored before exporting. The warehouse which locates near Bangpakong Port cannot be reached by ocean freighter. Tapioca products from Bangpakong Port represent approximately 20% of total tapioca products for export and at present there in not enough lighter for transport between Bangpakong Port and Srichang Harbour. This study purports, therefore, to investigate the following: 1) the transportation situation of tapioca products. 2) market aspects in regard to the possibility of using ferrocement boat for transport tapioca product and 3) the estimation of capital investment, production cost, and the analysis of the financing and earning potential of the project.- Authors.
