Maximum phase as observed occurred at 03 06 49 U.T. The solar disk unobscured at maximum phase was 14.29 percent. On that day the solar disk appeared quite clean in continum light. There were no sunspot groups or even single spots observed; thus the sun exhibited the typical quiet moment. S.K
