Language: English ชื่อชุด: Class. Invest. no. 2ข้อมูลการพิมพ์: Bangkok : Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research, 1973 หัวเรื่อง: Kenaf | Pulps | Rubberwoodสาระสังเขป: Mixed pulping of rubberwood (Hevea brasiliensis) and Thai kenaf (Hibiscus sabdariffa) by kraft, neutral sulphite and bisulphite processes were compared. Mixed pulping showed higher initial freeness than kenaf pulp alone and better strength development due to slower beating rate than that of kenaf pulp. Mixed pulping by kraft process with 18% Na2O, 22% sulphidity at 170 degree celsius for 1½ hours gave 45% yield with good strength. Mixed pulping by neutral sulphite process with 16% sodium sulphite and 3% sodium bicarbonate on chip weight at 170 degree celsius for 2 hours gave 66% yield of pulp with good quality for liner board.สาระสังเขป: The two-stage bisulphite-alkali mixed pulping gave higher yield of pulp with better brightness than the pulp from the kraft process. The two-stage sodium bisulphite-caustic soda process in mixed pulping of equal parts of rubberwood and kenaf chips gave 53% yield. The sodium bisulphite stage applied 20% sodium bisulphite on chips at 155 degree celsius for 2½ hours. This was followed by coustic soda pulping with 6% caustic soda on chips at 170 degree celsius for one hour. The unbleached pulp is comparable to kenaf kraft pulp in strength except for tearing strength. - Authors.
